History
Kent and Nick have known each other — first through mutual friends, and later as fellow musicians (but in different bands) — for more than 25 years.
But their first project together (beyond the occasional impromptu jam or demo recording session at Kent's first home studio) didn't materialize until they co-produced Songs Arriving Late (and acted as de facto bandleaders for One Week In April).
From that experience, it was clear that their temperaments and talents complemented each other, and they decided to continue working together.
They have created opportunities to do this, not only as core members of Naked April, but also as a duo, exploring different musical spaces than those usually inhabited by that band.
Balancing their work in the various projects, Kent and Nick released Winter Storm Warning in 2001.
Current Projects
In their usual slow-moving fashion, Kent and Nick have begun working on new music — not just for release in CD form, but also for use in film, animation, and other multimedia projects.
Gigs
Besides their composition and recording efforts, Kent and Nick are also available for performances as a duo.
Their repertoire ranges from acoustic guitar & Chapman Stick® renditions of songs from Winter Storm Warning and the other albums, to works-in-progress intended for future releases, to ambient soundscapes and trance grooves.
